Dictan conferencia magistral “Los Partidos Progresistas Frente al Escenario Internacional”
Santo Domingo. -El Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM), puso en circulación este martes, sus nuevos Estatutos, que contiene los derechos y deberes de los dominicanos que abrazan el ideario, inspirado en los padres fundadores de la República y el pensamiento político del Dr. José Francisco Peña Gómez.
Los antiguos Estatutos contenían 17 capítulos y 137 artículos. Los nuevos contienen un preámbulo, 21 capítulos, 180 artículos y dos disposiciones finales.
La actividad se desarrolló en Salón Prof. Juan Bosch de la Biblioteca Nacional y estuvo encabezada por el presidente y la secretaria general del partido, José Ignacio Paliza y Carolina Mejía, respectivamente, así como los miembros que conforman la dirección ejecutiva del partido.
Eddy Olivares, vicepresidente y expresidente de la Comisión de Reforma Estatutaria, presentó un resumen de los nuevos estatutos.
“Cabalmente con el solemne compromiso que hicimos de construir unos nuevos estatutos inspirados siempre en los sagrados intereses institucionales de nuestro Partido Revolucionario Moderno. Este es un día especial en el que le estamos presentando al pueblo dominicano la Constitución interna que guía a los perremeístas”, dijo Olivares.
Ademas añadió: “En estos Estatutos se regulan la organización y el funcionamiento de nuestro partido. Ellos contienen los derechos y deberes de los dominicanos, que abrazados a nuestro ideario, inspirado en los padres fundadores de la República y el pensamiento político del Dr. José Francisco Peña Gómez, se han sumado a nuestro partido, poniendo en alto la bandera blanca y azul. Los presentes estatutos están en total armonía con la ley de Partidos y la Ley Orgánica del Régimen Electoral, aprobados después de su fundación”, expresó.
En ese mismo orden, José Ignacio Paliza, presidente del PRM, dió la formal puesta en circulación de los Estatutos.
Paliza puntualizó: “Es importante recodar cómo surgimos, nuestro partido no solo es historia, es gente. Nos atrevimos a formar un nuevo partido, y con madurez lógranos en pocos años alcanzar el poder. Una de las tareas pendientes que le prometimos a nuestra militancia fue la de redactar unos estatutos que fueran sólidos y por eso hoy estamos aquí”, enfatizó.
Paliza, felicitó a la comisión de reforma estatutaria encabezada por Eddy Olivares donde construyeron una matriz sólida que representa a todos los perremeístas.
Asimismo informó, que los nuevos estatutos estarán disponibles en formato digital donde se la distribuirá a cada miembro del partido y donde fueron colocados en la página web del partido; https://prm.org.do/estatutos/
Las palabras de bienvenida estuvieron a cargo de Carolina Mejía, secretaria general del PRM: “Gracias a todos por venir, tenemos muchos retos por delante y seguiremos trabajando”, dijo Mejía.
Tras concluir la puesta en circulación de los nuevos estatutos se dictó una conferencia Magistral “Los Partidos Progresistas Frente al Escenario Internacional”, impartida por Heraldo Benjamín Muñoz Valenzuela, ex ministro de Relaciones Exteriores de Chile.
Biografía de Heraldo Benjamín Muñoz Valenzuela
Santiago de Chile, 22 de julio de 1948, es un diplomático, politólogo y político chileno, especialista en relaciones internacionales. Miembro del Partido por la Democracia (PPD), el cual presidió desde julio de 2018 hasta agosto de 2021.
Fue ministro de Relaciones Exteriores durante el segundo gobierno de la presidenta Michelle Bachelet, entre 2014 y 2018. Anteriormente, durante la administración del presidente Ricardo Lagos, fue subsecretario de Relaciones Exteriores (2000-2002) y ministro Secretario General de Gobierno (2002-2003).
Además estuvieron presentes; senadores, diputados, presidentes y secretarios provinciales, entre otras autoridades del partido.
La conducción del evento estuvo a cargo de Elizabeth Mateo, secretaria nacional de comunicaciones y también miembro de la dirección ejecutiva del PRM.
